The Blurb[]

Meghan Chase used to be an ordinary girl...until she discovered that she is really a faery princess. After escaping from the clutches of the deadly Iron fey, Meghan must follow through on her promise to return to the equally dangerous Winter Court with her forbidden love, Prince Ash. But first, Meghan has one request: that they visit Puck--Meghan's best friend and servant of her father, King Oberon--who was gravely injured defending Meghan from the Iron Fey.

Yet Meghan and Ash's detour does not go unnoticed. They have caught the attention of an ancient, powerful hunter--a foe that even Ash may not be able to defeat....

Detailed Plot Summary[]

Prolouge[]

In The Iron King , Meghan Chase made a deal with Ash that in exchange of helping her save her brother, Ethan Chase , the Summer pirncess will go with the Winter prince in the Unseelie Court. After saving her brother, Ash comes back to collect the debt

Summary[]

Before Meghan Chase goes to Tir Na Nog as per a contract, she wishes to visit her wounded friend, Robin Goodfellow. While she and Prince Ash head there, they feel as if they're being followed.

After visiting Robin and seeing that he's alive, but in a deep sleep, they head back - taking another way, so they don't pass the mysterious creature following them- to the path to Tir Na Nog, with a new companion this time, Grimalkin. They pass through "Ye Olde Original Dungeon", a place that takes the exact opposite of nicely to Summer fey. After getting back on the path, a howl coming from the stalker rings behind them. The Hunter, the Eldest Hunter, the First, according to Grimalkin. The party runs, and Ash collapses a bridge, forcing the Hunter to take another way in. They get Meghan somewhere warm, and stay the night. The Hunter's immediately on their trail, and Grimalkin already disappeared before Meghan woke up, so Meghan and Ash sprint away.

The Hunter catches up, revealing itself to be the Big Bad Wolf, and attacks Ash. Meghan stops the Wolf after Ash is very bruised. Apparently, the Wolf was sent by Oberon to kill Ash and rescue Meghan from Ash taking her to Tir Na Nog, but after hearing it was a bargain, he leaves. After Ash heals, an escort from Tir Na Nog comes and guides them to Queen Mab, who sees Meghan off to a room.

Aftermath[]

In the beginning of The Iron Daughter, Meghan's experience in the Unseelie Court begins as she sees the Winter prince continue his cold shoulder around her.
